Ane Carla has shown her vast portfolio of pastel chalk, watercolor, and pen & ink artwork in nature museums, visitor centers, and numerous other venues in California and Italy. Below are a few samples of her pastels.
Her stunning landscapes capture our golden West with brilliant pastel chalks that she makes out of California soils, earth pigments and traditional art pigments. She creates papyruses out of local tule and cattail grasses, as well as pond algae. Her paints and inks are from historic recipes using milk, eggs, tree sap, soap and other non-toxic items.
